Is Flashcards free?
Yes. Creating cards and studying with the Leitner system is free and works offline without an account. Flashcards Plus is an optional subscription for AI, sync, shared topics and the topic library.
What is the Leitner system?
A spaced-repetition method with five boxes. Cards you know move to the next box and are reviewed less often (1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 days). Cards you forget return to box 1.
Do I need an account?
No. Your cards stay on your device. You only sign in with Apple if you want sync or to learn together.
Which languages does the app support?
English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Czech.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app under Profile → Delete account, or with the web form on our account deletion page. Deleting your account removes all your data from our servers.
